Kudzie Kadzombe, the former Deputy Mayor of Harare, is throwing her hat into the ring to join the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) Board with her impressive curriculum vitae giving her an edge amid extensive experience in administration and strategic development.
The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is responsible for running the affairs of Zimbabwean Football and is now on record for a number of controversies thereby putting Zimbabwe’s football image at jeopardy. The current elections hyp has been charecterized by disappointments with popular faces, Walter Magaya and Themba Mliswa being disqualified from the Presidential Race.
Speaking to this publication this Monday from Harare, Kadzombe said she has over 15 years of experience in administration and strategic development, she’s confident that she can bring her skills to the table to elevate Zimbabwean football.
As a former Deputy Mayor, she’s got a proven track record in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and executing complex projects that have had a lasting impact on the community.
“As former Deputy Mayor of Harare, Ihave a proven track record in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and executing complex projects with lasting community impact. I am committed to bringing this experience to the ZIFA board to elevate Zimbabwean football, ” she said.
She also revealed her passion for football, having spearheaded talent development programs as Director and Chairwoman of FC Dutch Football Academy, where she helped players progress to premier league clubs.

Kadzombe believes that a collaborative approach is key to progressing Zimbabwean football, and she’s committed to transparency, accountability, grassroots development, and stakeholder engagement.
She is also big on using data to drive development and decision-making, and she’s all about continuous improvement.
