Manake Empowerment Trust (MET), a women’s group on economic empowerment, gender and economic issues will be launched at Maragon Gardens in Norton on the 12th of April 2024 with officials from the Ministry of Women Affairs expected to grace the occasion.

The launch will run under the theme; “Empowering Communities, Empowering Lives.”

MET Secretary General Ms Patricia Bongani Madiro revealed details of the launch in a statement.

“Our launch will take place on the 12th of April 2024 in Norton at Maragon Gardens, 4km off along Zvimba road. The launch will be marked by a theme entitled “Empowering Communities, Empowering Lives”.

She also said that MET is determined to advance Gender and Community Issues, substance abuse and public awareness and opportunities for community development.

“This year it must be our special goal to improve public presence so that we can make our voice heard more clearly in our communities paying attention on gender and community issues , substance abuse and public awareness and opportunities for communities for community development,” she added.

MET members are expected to find an opportunity to showcase their different products from the projects they are doing, that includes poultry, market gardening/horticultural, sewing, detergents making and confectionary.
