Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Interim Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu has announced he has temporarily put Nelson Chamisa on a hibernation until further notice.
This follows his recent announcement that, he is now making efforts to free the incarcerated CCC ‘s outspoken official Job Sikhala from Chikurubi Maximum Prison. This was before he also reiterated the latest move to open a dialogue platform with Zanu Pf and the subsequent return of party big wigs in the likes of Professor Welshman Ncube and Tendai Biti.
This time, Tshabangu has announced that, Chamisa is currently crippled to make any move on his political party. This include demoting or recalling party members from the party.
“He is our CIC but at the mean time he’s not vested with the power to either recall,demote or suspend anyone from a position of authority until when all our legal issues are resolved.”
Amid reports that Chamisa is set to recall Harare Mayor Jacob Mafume, Tshabangu promised to protect him. Mafume a former PDP member is believed to be a Biti loyalist.
“On my capacity as Interim SG,I vow to say that Mafume and other fingered councillors are safe,” he added.
As the situation continues to go in shamble, CCC youth leader Obey Sithole was recently blocked from Party’s official Tweeter(X) Account by admins believed to be Chamisa loyalists.
