Net One, a leading telecoms giant in the country is committed to protect the environment in a manner that keeps Harare’s Central Business District(CBD) clean and safe.

NetOne’s General Manager Learnmore Masunda revealed this while addressing local media at a Clean-Up Exercise held this Friday in the Central Business District.

The telecoms giant joined other entities, civic societies and private players in cleaning the CBD.

“Today we are in the streets of our Central Business District cleaning the environment. It is our duty to keep the environment we operate in clean and safe. We have joined many other organizations and players in this Clean-Up Exercise in support of the Government Programme. This is a national initiative pioneered by the Government of Zimbabwe,” he said.

He also commended the positive strides attained so far in restoring sanity in Harare’s Central Business District. He echoed on the beauty resembled in the outcome of clean up initiative.

“We are now witnessing the beauty of the Sunshine City through the Clean-Up Exercises undertaken by different players in the CBD. With more of these engagements Harare will soon become completely clean as compared to what we used to see sometime ago,” he added.
