HARARE – The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society (ZAS) has announced that the 2024 Premier Agriculture Exhibition will be held from August 26 , 2024, at the Harare Showgrounds.
In a statement, ZAS CEO Andrew Matibhiri said that this year’s event promises to be a remarkable showcase of agricultural innovation, resilience, and talent. “We are delighted to announce the upcoming 2024 edition of the Premier Agriculture Exhibition, which will be a platform to honor the achievements of our agricultural sector and discuss future challenges and opportunities,” he said.
Matibhiri highlighted that the theme for the 2024 exhibition is “Cultivating Prosperity, Growing Business, Innovating for Change, and Nurturing our Future,” which resonates deeply with the ZAS mission to drive growth, sustainability, and transformation in Zimbabwean agriculture.
The event is expected to attract over 2000 visitors from across the region, representing a diverse audience of commercial farmers, producers, agro-processors, input suppliers, government officials, agricultural research institutions, and entrepreneurs.
Matibhiri also announced that this year’s event will feature over 560 exhibitors, occupying 78,202 square meters of space, with 282 local exhibitors and and many foreign exhibitors. The exhibition will offer ample opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and forging valuable connections in the industry.
The ZAS CEO emphasized that the organization has made extensive arrangements for the event, including security measures to ensure public safety. “We are grateful for the support of our partners and look forward to a successful and enjoyable experience for all attendees,” he said.
The event will also feature specialized forums, conferences, and networking sessions, including the Exhibitor Symposium, National Agricultural Business Conference, Environmental Social and Governance Conference, and a Diplomatic Reception.
In addition, the exhibition will showcase arena events, including live music performances, fireworks displays, parachute demonstrations, and mass displays. The event will also feature equestrian events, including races, shows, and demonstrations.
The Zimbabwe Agricultural Society has called on all stakeholders in the agricultural sector to participate in this premier event and showcase their products and services.
