The Founder of Hwenje Music affectionately known as Chief Shumba turned 36 last week.
The social media corridors were awash with birthday wishes from music fans.
The artist has remained at the top of the game with “Mai Welly” a track that became a hit during the just ended Presidential Election Campaigns.
Some of the popular tracks include Chigaba che huchi, Dhakota, ED Pfee among other hits.
In the aftermath of the Harmonized Elections, Chief Hwenje artistically produced another version of “Mai Welly” track.
The latest version carries love lyrics while it maintains the Kaninto style.
Despite revealing his age, Chief Shumba has maintained his life secret. His birthday was celebrated in style in the periphery of the Capital.
The birthday bash was organized by his close relatives. Hwenje’s son, Welly was among family members who graced the occasion.
Welly displayed one of his inaugural dances in celebrating his Father’s birthday.
Hwenje takes pride in celebrating Toyota GD 6 and US 50 000 he received from “Mbinga” Sir Wicknell Chivhayo.
