Senator Joseph Makamba has said that he is now looking forward to execute his duties as a Legislator in the Upper House. He said this during the just ended Induction Workshop held by the Parliament of Zimbabwe for the newly elected Legislators.
The Induction Workshop commenced on Monday and ended on Wednesday at Harare International Conference Centre(HICC).
This publication held an interview with Senator Makamba to gather his sentiments on the induction trainings attended by Legislators from both Zanu Pf and Citizens Coalition for Change(CCC).
Senator Makamba said he is now looking forward to execute his duties as a Parliamentarian in the aftermath of the Induction Workshop .
“His Excellency ED Mnangagwa officially Opened the Parliament last week and this week we had the induction of all Parliamentarians and I happen to be in the Senate, the Upper House. The induction deals with rules and regulations of Parliament.”
“The opening of the Zimbabwe’s 10th Parliament was exciting and extremely went well. This week attended the induction so that we are acquainted with governing laws and the way we conduct ourselves as parliamentarians. Basically the induction deals with rules and regulations. More importantly, this was more relevant when it comes to the relationship between Parliamentarians and their constituencies.”
He also commended the Official Opening of Zimbabwe’s 10th Parliament by President Emerson Mnangagwa at the new Parliament Building in Mt Hubden.
“The Official Opening of the 10th Parliament by His Excellency President Emerson Mnangagwa at the new Parliament Building was really exciting for us Parliamentarians.”
