Tirimusango Hwenje aka Chief Shumba, a famous local artist is now a talk in all music galas being held in different provinces of the country.
It is now a norm that where ever President Mnangagwa addresses ZANU PF supporters, the rally will be accompanied by a Music Gala in remembrance of iconic Liberation Hero from a given province.
The last gala was held in Nkayi in honour of the late Vice President John Nkomo.
At this gala, Chief Shumba introduced a new taste for his fans as he made a hilarious performance.
Fans had the opportunity to meet Chief Hwenje performing live. Revellers were captivated with hit songs like “Musangano wakasimba kumasero” (Dakota), Chigaba Chehuchi, ED Pfee and among others.
“Chief Hwenje is now the Van guard of the revolutionary songs of the current settings. He is the best. His performance at Nkayi was hilarious,” one fan chanted from Nkayi.
The Chimurenga is a famous music genre that help awakens the revolutionary moments.
Some of the artists performing at the nationwide galas include Sandra Ndebele, Suluman Chimbetu, Bethan Pasinawako, Jah Master, Jah Signal, Kujatajata, among others.
