Emmanuel Macron has been re-elected as French President during the national elections announced on Sunday.
Macron defeated Le Pen of the Far-Right during a run-off which secured a major victory for him.
He garnered 58.8 percent of the votes while his opponent Le Pen conceded with 41 percent.
“Many people voted for me in the just ended elections not to support my ideas but to block the Far-Right. I would like to thank you all,” said Macron.
After realising that millions voted for the opposition Macron vows to work on uniting all the French people.
He became the first President to be re-elected in office 20 years.
