ZANU PF’s aspiring Councillor for Harare South Ward 1, Trust Rutsvara said he is prepared to take the councillorship from the opposition in the next year’s harmonized elections.
Currently the ward is under the reign of an MDC-T member and Rutsvara is aware of the fact that he will be facing a CCC candidate as his contender in the much awaited elections.
In an exclusive interview Rutsvara said victory is certain and has done all what it takes to take away the crown from the opposition.
“I have done all what it takes to be the councillor for Harare South. My next move is to defeat and take away the crown from the opposition.”
Rutsvara has been on the ground in scaling up matters of development in Harare South. This include in grabbing the land from a white owned farmer and paved way for residential allocation.
“We firstly grabbed away the land from a white farmer around 2001 and today people have been safely allocated residential stands in areas such as Amsterdam and Stoneridge.”
As the aspiring Councillor, Rutsvara is now scaling up sustainable development in the area. This include drilling boreholes to improve water and sanitation.
“After securing land we are now drilling boreholes for our residents to ensure water and sanitation.”
Rutsvara says the construction of Mbudzi Flyover resonates with developmental programmes being initiated under his capacity in meeting Vision 2030.
“Vision 2030 is attainable. I am glad that the construction of Mbudzi Flyover resonates with developmental programmes being undertaken in Harare South. We want to make sure that the completion of Mbudzi Flyover coincides with the completion of our programmes in Harare South.
