Zimbabwe will today 8th January 2024 officially open The 2024 Legal Year. The Ceremony is expected to be presided by Chief Justice Malaba.
The Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) announced in a statement on Sunday. The event will be also be taking place in other provinces.
“All is set for the Official Opening of the 2024 Legal Year tomorrow. Chief Justice of the Republic of Zimbabwe Honourable Mr Luke Malaba is expected to preside over the main ceremony in Harare.”
“Other judges will be presiding over opening ceremonies in Bulawayo, Masvingo, Mutare and Chinhoyi.”
The Ceremony will give the Chief Justice the opportunity to review developments over the past year and highlight the challenges and opportunities for the future.
