The President of the Pan-African Parliament, Chief Fortune Zephaniah Charumbira, recently attended the inauguration ceremony of Ghana’s 14th President, John Mahama.

During the ceremony, he met with several leaders, including former South African President Jacob Zuma and the President of the African Development Bank Group, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.

“At the inauguration ceremony of the 14th President of the Republic of Ghana, John Mahama, the President of the Pan-African Parliament, H.E. Chief Fortune Charumbira, met with several leaders from different sectors. Among them were the Former President of the Republic of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, and the President of the @AfDB_Group , Dr. @akin_adesina, ” Pan African Parliament communicated in statement on it’s official X account @AfrikParliament.

This event marks another significant engagement for Charumbira, who has also attended presidential inauguration ceremonies in Botswana and South Africa in 2024.

As the legislative arm of the African Union, the Pan African Parliament plays a crucial role in promoting unity and cooperation among African countries, and Charumbira’s attendance at these events highlights his commitment to strengthening relationships with other nations.
