In a significant step towards achieving President Emerson Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 agenda, the Destiny for Africa Network (DANET) has launched an ambitious housing program in Chinhoyi. This initiative aims to provide affordable housing infrastructure for vulnerable groups, including women, youths, the unemployed, and low-income earners.
DANET’s Founder, Rev. Obadiah Msindo, emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting the government’s efforts in providing affordable housing for the majority. “We are dedicated to fulfilling our housing vision for Zimbabwe, targeting poor people and low-income owners,” he said.
The Chinhoyi project has already made significant progress, with phases 1, 2, and 3 nearing completion. The initiative offers flexible payment terms, allowing beneficiaries to acquire stands over a period of five years. This innovative approach is expected to benefit not only local residents but also Zimbabweans working in the diaspora who may struggle to purchase homes with their earnings.
DANET’s sustainable housing initiative aligns with the government’s Vision 2030 agenda, which prioritizes the provision of better housing infrastructure for all citizens by 2030. By complementing government efforts, DANET is playing a vital role in addressing Zimbabwe’s housing challenges.
The Chinhoyi project serves as a model for future initiatives, demonstrating the potential for collaborative efforts between government and non-governmental organizations to drive meaningful change. As DANET continues to roll out its housing program across the country, thousands of Zimbabweans are poised to benefit from this life-changing initiative.
