ZIMBABWE has grabbed the Pan African Parliament Presidency. Honourable Chief Fortune Charumbira emerged victorious with 161 Votes, 31 abstained and 11 spoilt votes.

The elections were held today in South Africa.

Delivering a speech soon after claiming victory Honourable Charumbira owed his victory to the Zimbabwean people and President Emerson Mnangagwa.

“I want to thank my country Zim, my fellow Zim delegation to the Pan African Parliament and in a very special way our President ED Mnangagwa for this unprecedented and foundational support to my candidacy and without which I wouldn’t be standing here today.”

The victory is being celebrated in Zimbabwe and across Africa.
