VILLAGE HEADS in Mazowe were warned against stealing Presidential inputs by Mazowe District Co-ordinating Committee (DCC) Tafadzwa Musarara after 10 bags of Amonium Nitrate fertilizers were stolen in Jengamvura district.
This was confirmed at a Mazowe ward 2 council by election rally on Thursday in Chiweshe.Musarara bemoned corruption and gave a stern warning to village heads to foster president Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision of combating corruption.
“As DCC we figured out that some of the village heads in this ward had stolen Presidential inputs there by putting the name of ZANU PF into disrepute but l am told the stolen fertilizers were brought back and they will be distributed to those that fell short,” Musarara said.
“We are going to make sure that discplinary action is going to take place against the culprits.”
Mazowe DCC secretary for production Tichaona Chawana confirmed the loot while apologizing to their supporters.”
I can confirm that the said fertilizers were stolen but l would like to apologize on behalf of the village heads and we have since recovered the loot may we continue to vote for ZANU PF because Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has nothing to offer,” Chawana said.
ZANU PF was mobilizing support for their candidate Bester Mhandu who is set to battle out with Trymore Munaki (CCC) after the seat fell vacant following the death of councillor Again Zimbiti.Central Committee Member John Nhamburo urged party supporters to retain the seat by voting for Mhandu.
